Shiver Trilogy Boxset (The Wolves of Mercy Falls #1-3)
The series focuses on Grace and Sam. Grace is a high school student in love with her wolf boy Sam. Since the werewolf/shifter genre has grown tired, Maggie decided to throw some ice on this one, literally. When winter hits Sam shifts back into fluffy. Grace and Sam grow closer and closer and closer and closer (ha -had to do it) while dreading the approaching cold. A few other characters are thrown in the mix and stick around throughout the series. Some annoyed me while others made me feel sad (I
Raven Boys was so delightful that going back in time to Wolves of Mercy Falls was maybe always going to be a disappointment. Don't get me wrong -- this is still skillful stuff. Maggie can always spin a line and, for example, "I may have thrown one too many Molotov cocktails over God's fence," is a stonking good one. And her treatment of lycanthropy as simultaneously a disease and a metaphor for death is an interesting one. Most of my problems with the book might be rooted in my lack of interest

Thus book is the best romance ever!!I would give thus book a five star rating just because thus book has everything in it that a romance should have. The love, the lust, and the just down right wanting of being apart of the journey reading thus book made me cry and want to just indulge myself in the secrets of this book. It made me want to be a wolf I could see see the detail vividly and that is what makes thus book so dang right good. I would however ask the author too make more of this series
The Wolves of Mercy Falls is a lovely and beautifully written YA romance. My reviews:ShiverLingerForever
I really really liked the first book; it was absolutely addictive. But the other two were really disappointing. What I found difficult about these books was how Maggie changed who was speaking almost every paragraph, so I sometimes got confused who was talking or what the frick was going on. There were really good scenes in the books that were easy to read and enjoy, but some just didn't really fit and were a bit choppy in my opinion. In the last book, the end was annoying! The author pretty
I devoured all three of these books. I'm not sure why. It was a little too teen for my typical reading tastes but read all three books in the trilogy back to back. I guess each book inspires you to read the next. I can't say I didn't enjoy it.The author really made me care about what happened to the characters, even when she introduced ones that I didn't like, she gave them redeeming qualities which kept me guessing, because I never knew what they were going to do or how they were going to get

Right now we're being inundated in paranormal romances -- including quite a few about werewolves. But Maggie Stiefvater's "Shiver Trilogy" has a delicate, wintry quality that most paranormal romances lack, as well as a romance that tosses aside "Twilight"-style crushy obsessions in favor of a gentle, sweet romance threatened by nature itself as well as humanity. In "Shiver," Grace has been visited by a yellow-eyed wolf every winter.
