Frozen Charlotte (Frozen Charlotte #1)
This is actually the best book Ive ever read. I recommend for people into horror as this is a pretty chilling story. The sentences paint pictures in your head of the scary scenes. I could NOT put the book down! It felt asthough someones life depended on me. For readers 12+
I love how I decided to read to relax....and then pick up the mOST DISTURBING books ever. But yes, hi, so this was freaky as anything. I haven't read a lot of horror but it felt like it followed the average tropes: creepy house, antique freaking dolls that also are murderous, psychopaths, families with secrets, misty rainy house etc etc. So I wasn't like shocked, butbut I found it to be thoroughly addictive how it all came together. And did I mention disturbing?? SO DISTURBING. Which is perfect,

Frozen Charlotte is a young adult horror. Im picky when it comes to choosing YA fiction, and despite being a huge horror fan as a child and teenager, its not a genre that I often read these days. The reason I dont read a lot of YA fiction, is I tend to find they lack the intensity I hope for. But this book was actually surprisingly creepy, tense and rather brutal in places. My teenage self would have loved this book.I also found the characters interesting, and really felt for them and their
3.5 stars.Creepy. Creepy. Creepy. Creepy. There may exist thousands of books featuring creepy, Machiavellian talking dolls, but theyre a classic that will forever invade horror stories. To my surprise, I wasnt scared by this book. Maybe youve noticed, its shelved under the horror genre, which is a genre that I absolutely do not read. Ever. Even if you beg me to.But this didnt scare me in the teensiest bit. I was, however, captivated by the story and, of course, creeped out by the dead dolls. The
I think its safe to say that Im not the biggest fan of horror. My imagination runs away with me and things play on my mind for ages after Ive read a book. I still have vivid memories of a part of a Chris Wooding book that will forever stay in my memory! However, I was SO intrigued by Frozen Charlotte that I knew I wanted to read it. Even if I had to take breaks between chapters to focus my mind elsewhere I tore through Frozen Charlotte despite the breaks I took whilst reading itit was incredibly
3.5 starsThis is a horror story for people who are too afraid to read actual horrors.I, being one of them, really appreciated it.It was spooky and chilling, yet not something that'd give me nightmares. The story was fast-paced and well written, I flew through it almost in one sitting.Yet, there were two main problems I had with it: halfway through it became predictable and the ending didn't give me answers to all the questions I had.The main character started this adventure so she'd find out what

This is the perfect time of year to read this book if you're interested in a spine-tingling, bone-chilling, good ol' classic horror tale! Although, if you read it at any other time of year, it will still be just as frighteningly creepy!I love books that really get to you to the point where you actually end up looking over your shoulder and losing sleep over them. That's how much this book affected me. It's been a long time since I read a good thriller, in which I was truly scared to flip theThis is actually the best book Ive ever read.
