Three cities. Three seasons. One chance to find the life that fits. Cassie settled down too young, marrying her first serious boyfriend. Now, ten years later, she is betrayed and broken. With her marriage in tatters and no career or home of her own, she needs to work out where she belongs in the world and who she really is. So begins a year-long trial as Cassie leaves her sheltered life in rural Scotland to stay with each of her best friends in the most glamorous cities in the world: New York, Paris and London. Exchanging grouse moor and mousy hair for low-carb diets and high-end highlights, Cassie tries on each city for size as she attempts to track down the life she was supposed to have been leading, and with it, the man who was supposed to love her all along.

Column Epithetical Books Christmas at Tiffany's (At Tiffany's #1)
With the way this novel starts out, I had an idea that it was going to be along the lines of The Devil Wore Prada somewhat crossed vaguely with Sex in the City, but set in three cities. I obviously did not do enough research into this book. I only knew that it had to do with a married woman (Cassie) being jilted by her husband and taking some time to recover in three major cities. I was very, very wrong. This book was so much more than that. I thought that it would be a chick-lit, frothy;

http://chicklitaholic.blogspot.com/20...Once I became aware of Karen Swan's latest novel, Christmas At Tiffany's it automatically became a must-read book. The cover is beautiful and the title really enticed me into wanting to read the book straight away. As soon as Christmas At Tiffany's arrived I curled up on the sofa with a steaming mug of hot chocolate ready to delve into Cassie's journey.While the idea for the story was nothing unique or original, I have to admit that the idea of Cassie

Karen Swan is the author of three novels, but Christmas At Tiffanys is the only one Ive read. Her first two novels Players and Prima Donna are perhaps a bit of a different genre to Christmas At Tiffanys, and if you read the blurbs you will see why, and I was quite intrigued as to why Karen had seemingly switched to Chick Lit instead of the glamorous reads she first came out with, and I was also interested in just how close this novel is to Melissa Hills novel Something From Tiffanys. I found

Cassie married at an incredibly young age, at only twenty years old, to an older man and her first love. She never got to experience life or travel the world but she was content and satisfied with her life despite all that. After discovering that Gil, her husband of ten years, had betrayed her, Cassie leaves immediately and doesnt look back. She devotes the next year of her life to doing what she never did before: discovering who she is and what she wants out of this life to make her truly

Ive just finished reading Christmas as Tiffanys by Karen Swan and I have to say I absolutely loved it!!!The story tells of Cassie, who married young at 20 and then 10 years later finds that her marriage wasnt what she thought it was as her husband has betrayed her. She leaves and puts herself in the hands of her 3 best friends and stays with each of them in turn in New York, Paris and London. In each city she is reinvented and changed by the experiences she has there. Although it is called

I LOVED this book. The title quickly caught my eye and after I read the synopsis I was sold. I myself have always wanted to travel specifically to the 3 destinations Cassie visits throughout the book: New York, Paris and London. I loved the way Swan managed to create such vivid images for the readers. I really warmed up to Cassie as the novel and her character progressed. I especially loved Bas's character. There were a lot of moments where I found myself laughing out loud because of him. And I

For days, my blogging readers have fallen for the clues I have left behind thinking I have traveled to New York, Paris, Venice and London, but in reality I have simply been sharing some of the incredible insights I have gotten from Karen Swan's latest novel Christmas at Tiffany's. I found myself looking up interesting tidbits as I came across them to get a real feel for the places Cassie Fraiser finds herself traveling to. From the sparkling water drinking fountains in Paris, to the famous Kiss
