With the way this novel starts out, I had an idea that it was going to be along the lines of The Devil Wore Prada somewhat crossed vaguely with Sex in the City, but set in three cities. I obviously did not do enough research into this book. I only knew that it had to do with a married woman (Cassie) being jilted by her husband and taking some time to recover in three major cities. I was very, very wrong. This book was so much more than that. Karen Swan is the author of three novels, but Christmas At Tiffanys is the only one Ive read. Her first two novels Players and Prima Donna are perhaps a bit of a different genre to Christmas At Tiffanys, and if you read the blurbs you will see why, and I was quite intrigued as to why Karen had seemingly switched to Chick Lit instead of the glamorous reads she first came out with, and I was also interested in just how close this novel is to Melissa Hills novel Something From Tiffanys. Ive just finished reading Christmas as Tiffanys by Karen Swan and I have to say I absolutely loved it!!!The story tells of Cassie, who married young at 20 and then 10 years later finds that her marriage wasnt what she thought it was as her husband has betrayed her. I LOVED this book. The title quickly caught my eye and after I read the synopsis I was sold. I myself have always wanted to travel specifically to the 3 destinations Cassie visits throughout the book: New York, Paris and London. I loved the way Swan managed to create such vivid images for the readers. I really warmed up to Cassie as the novel and her character progressed. I especially loved Bas's character.
