Friends and co-workers leading double lives and destroying many in the process.People not being who you thought they were. All for Ego and or Religious practices, each trying to be the better man or in this case the better Elf clan. Who was right and who was wrong? This was great!I enjoyed the previous books but this one reached another level with me. The characters are distinctive; Andarken is a real bastard you can't help but dislike and his apparently timid shadowa seems like a lil wet but none the less, stands out in his own right. But Vara is the character that made the book great for me; she is a seductive elvess that intrigued me from chapter one, her character and chapters being my favorite sections of the book.
